Highend Chamber facility for Fingal County Council
Fingal County Council is the authority responsible for local government in the county of Fingal, Ireland. Fingal covers an area of over 452Km² and with a population of over 274,000 is the 2nd most populous county in its state.
The council recently increased councillor numbers from 24 to 40 elected members resulting in a requirement to increase capacity of their council chamber and audio visual facilities.
The Council Chamber required a replacement moderated discussion system with electronic voting and state of the art Audio Visual facilities. A decision was made to replace the Council’s current system.
The Council had been using a Brahler Custom Made Conference system for over 14 years and had a good understanding of its functionality. This gave them a significant insight into the specification required for the new system. Fergus Healy , Relationship Manager for Fingal County Council was chosen to lead the supplier selection process.
The Council decided they needed a system that embraced recent digital developments within the sector and came up with a list of additional features they required.
Nuway looked at the key manufacturers within the Conference market and chose Belgian specialist Televic Conference as their product partner. Nuway understood that the project was extremely time sensitive so any chosen supplier & equipment had to be able to supply within the tight timescales of the contract. Having worked with Televic on a number of projects Nuway were confident that even though the replacement system was completely bespoke the deadlines could be met & the entire system could be turned around in 12 weeks from design to delivery to site in Ireland. Their system combined high build quality and feature rich specifications. On-going product development and good financial stability were also strong factors in their favour.
