Streamlining Hybrid Meetings for Basildon Council

Basildon Council approached Nuway with the goal of enhancing their webcasting capabilities. Dissatisfied with their existing supplier and desiring a shift towards a self-managed solution, the Council aimed to streamline the process of conducting daily meetings.

The current setup proved confusing and cumbersome, requiring the connection of an additional laptop for hybrid meetings and the manual adjustment of multiple cables and audio settings for each session.

• Deployment of a new Crestron Microsoft Teams Room Solution for simplified hybrid meetings with one-touch join functionality.
• Integration of Nuway's Custom Camera Overlay & Follow Solution, enhancing user experience with name overlays and custom shot positions for both standing and seated meetings.
• Implementation of an Extron SMP111 Encoder for seamless recording and live streaming of meetings to the Council's YouTube channel at the touch of a button.
• Redesigned Crestron Touch Panel layout, featuring an intuitive interface with start/stop streaming and recording functions.

Given a tight deadline of 5 days before the next scheduled meeting, Nuway successfully executed the project, ensuring a seamless transition from the previous system to the newly implemented solution. The efficient migration strategy guaranteed that the system was fully operational and ready for the upcoming meeting.

Post-implementation, Nuway provided extensive training sessions for both technical staff and end-users, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the new system's capabilities. To further assist with the transition, Nuway offered on-site support during the first meeting, demonstrating their commitment to a smooth and trouble-free user experience.
